Flores

Ok, here's a quite first post. I made it into Flores with few problems. Just a security shut down in LAX, and confusion about my flight from Guatemala City to Flores. I toured Tikal yesterday, and was acquainted with my new best friend. Profuse Sweat! (gross!)

Of course, Tikal was amazing as you would expect. I'll try to post a few photos from there when I have a chance. I think I need to get all the photos approved by the director before I can publish them though....

Today we walked through the market in Flores, which was full of colorful buildings and power lines crisscrossing all over above the streets.

In a few minutes, we'll be heading out to Carmelita where we'll spend the night. Then we'll start the hike into El Mirador. The next post will be coming from there!
